Robert Rohrberg
Psychologist
I’ve been a practicing clinical psychologist for over 40 years and have worked with individuals, couples and groups in a variety of settings.
My approach to psychotherapy is rooted in Attachment Theory, which holds that secure attachments with our primary caregivers in childhood provide the foundation from which we grow into autonomous adults able to create secure bonds with others.
It is also inspired by Gestalt Therapy principles and techniques which aim to increase awareness of the present moment, to develop one’s ability to be in contact with self and others, and to resolve unfinished business from the past. I trained in this approach for 2 years at the Gestalt Counselling and Training Centre in Montreal.
For the last 20 years l have worked primarily with adults who have experienced trauma resulting in PTSD. I developed my skills in working with traumatic stress during a 2-year training program at Traumatys, a clinic and training center here in Montreal.
I view psychotherapy as a collaborative process which can help clients discover creative, adaptive solutions to some of life’s important challenges. In this process, I make sure to offer my clients a benevolent, non-judgemental and warm posture based on acceptance and authenticity. I offer the necessary support to allow the person to achieve the potential within.
Dr. Marie-Eve Marchand-Krynski
Pediatric Neuropsychologist
Dr. Marie-Ève Marchand-Krynski completed a Ph.D. degree in neuropsychology (research and intervention) in 2018 from l’Université de Montréal. She specializes in pediatric neuropsychology. She has acquired her expertise while working with children, adolescents, and young adults with cognitive impairments. Dr. Marchand also currently works for Ste-Justine Hospital, where she is perfecting her expertise in pediatric neuropsychology by working within the department of pedopsychiatry (differential diagnosis between cognitive and mental health conditions) and that of surgery-trauma (rare diseases and traumatic brain injury).
As a clinician, Dre Marchand-Krynski is professional, rigorous and very compassionate. Her clients and patients appreciate her authenticity, her patience, and her dedication to making them feel heard and making her work accessible by taking the time to answer questions and explain, in simple words, complex concepts. She also has an acuity for each person’s qualities and potential and aims at helping her clients blossom.
